Triptych of small Stigmaria inspired paintings on black glass

December 10, 2016

Do these paintings have a look of Far, Far Away?

Triptych of original small paintings on black plexiglass

This triptych of tactile texture is inspired by Stigmaria tree root fossils. When I first came across images of Stigmaria fossils, I was fascinated! The shapes and textures created by nature...

And those textures and shapes also recur and work so well in an 'outer space' context. Regular followers and collectors of my work know that both Space and Nature are a frequent theme in my work. :-) Hence, 'Far, Far Away'.
