'Jewels of the Sea' is an original abstract reefscape / seascape painting.
I have a strong fascination with the underwater world, particularly with coral reefs teaming with colours, shapes and life. This interest started when I first went snorkelling in the South Pacific Ocean off the coast of New Caledonia. Wow, a whole new world! And thanks to David Attenborough and the like, my imagination continues to be fuelled. :-)
Part of my new 2018 collection of reefscape paintings, it is created using a mix of techniques with layered acrylic paint to create texture and depth.
Painted on canvas panel, this abstract landscape painting features lots of tantalising texture and a stunning, exotic colour palette including metallic and iridescent paints. Bathe in magenta, turquoise, orange, purple, blue and gold.
Whether you see them as underwater coral reefs, aerial coastlines or seascapes, I hope you will enjoy escaping to different worlds with me.
The art is finished in a beautiful white painted tray frame.
