Bracknell charity art sale

by Jayne Leighton Herd 17 October, 2009

The Charity Art Sale continues this weekend (Saturday & Sunday, 17 & 18 October 2009) , so please pop along if you can to support the artists and the two Berkshire charities concerned.

Sadly, I couldn't participate in the end due to a sudden attack of some horrible 'lurghy', which left me bed-ridden for a week! Still, I'm getting back on my feet now, so enough about that!

I so hope that my fellow artists have been experiencing a fun and successful week. The event got some good local press coverage in the run-up, an example of which I share below.

The campaign theme for IWD 2019 is 'Balance is better'! Unfortunately, some of what I heard this morning on BBC Breakfast was not balanced and in fact just plain ridiculous and detrimental to women!
